Calendar Challenge : January/February

Never say never! When I shared my completed calendar pages for 2011, I declared that I have new ideas for challenges in 2012 so wouldn't be joining the calendar challenge this year. Turns out that worked for a week, and then every day I kept thinking about what I would put on my calendar if I'd done one!
Hoping my pages might have a more consistent look through this year, but only time will tell.
These were the base layers for January - lovely sprays and stencils in colours I love - hot choices for our NZ summer
The days were cut from another page that I had sprayed last year with no end project in mind.
I started January's pages late but didn't do too bad a job of remembering what we'd done retrospectively, and had fun with a bit of doodling at the end.

On to February's base. First the base layers - good thing I like a messy painty look!
I stayed away from a heart theme last February, but since I love hearts, I thought I would just embrace them this year
Not sure what will happen to finish these pages. When I sprayed the background I also made this paper that I could cut further hearts from for embellishment perhaps.
And I'm hoping that I might be able to get some lettering inspiration from this course
- due to start tonight. Can't wait.
Call back 1st March to see how Feb turned out. And check out what others have been doing at the Kathryn Wheel, or see the Flickr Group
