Christmas quilt

I have decided I want to make more quilts next year and decided why wait?  Take one applique pattern :

Shop your stash for suitable fabric

Trace onto fusible, cut and iron stick the applique pieces down

Machine buttonhole stitch around the shapes - I used madeira metallic threads

Decide one lovely fabric rather than the original pieced border will be a good idea since there isn't much time left until Christmas....

Quilt as desired
