Watercolour Calendar journaling

You'll find a few inspirations from the Doodle Delight online class appearing on this past week's page. Started off with Sunday and the title had to be doodled upon
This was followed by some house doodling
A friend showed me a new pen she's in love with
so I had to lay down some darker watercolour to experiment with that. The brown writing was also done with my water pen brush dipped in the watercolour paint. I like the variation in colour of the lettering that technique produces.
Loving the effect of the white pen doodled over the top of the colour (click on the photo for a closer and better view)
Loved the wash of watercolour I added at the bottom, and seemed a shame to write and doodle over the top, but it turned out fine in the end.
And so we say farewell to March. You can see all my calendar journal pages in my flickr set HERE.

  1. What is a 'water' pen??? I adore the brown writing and how it's come out.

  2. Woops - water brush I meant. A brush with the handle being hollow and filled with water - great for traveling. You can see a pic of it at the top of this post http://lynettecollis.blogspot.co.nz/2014/03/watercolour-calendar-journaling_24.html
